Platform, Website Access & Ownership
Is the website built on WordPress?
Yes. Our websites are built on WordPress, which gives you a flexible, widely used, SEO-friendly platform that can grow with your business over time.
WordPress also makes it easier to add pages, optimize content, integrate third-party tools, manage blog content, and maintain control over the structure of the website.
Would we have backend/admin access to the website ourselves?
Yes. We can provide backend/admin access if you would like your team or SEO representative to make updates directly.
Many clients prefer to send update requests to our team so we can handle them properly, but we are also comfortable giving appropriate access to your team.
Can we make our own edits if we want to?
Yes. Clients can have backend access if they want to make edits directly. Many clients prefer to send updates to LoanSites so our team can handle them properly, but we can provide access for your internal team if desired.
Who owns the website after it is built?
You own your domain name and any materials you provide or add to the website. This may include your logo, branding assets, images, written content, page copy, blog posts, SEO content, disclosures, and other client-provided materials.
LoanSites provides the website build, hosting, support, customization, platform setup, licensed tools, plugins, templates, design framework, and ongoing website management as part of our monthly website service.
To keep the website live, hosted, maintained, supported, and managed through LoanSites, the monthly website service must remain active.
In simple terms: the content and materials you provide belong to you, while the website build, hosting environment, platform configuration, and ongoing management are part of the LoanSites service.
Do we have full ownership of the website content and SEO structure if we ever decide to move platforms in the future?
Yes. Your website content, page copy, images you provide, branding assets, page structure, and SEO structure belong to you.
Because the website is built on WordPress, the core website content can be exported or migrated if you ever decide to move platforms.
WITH that said, some licensed plugins, hosting configurations, custom tools, premium systems, or LoanSites-specific functionality may not transfer exactly as-is to another provider. But the core content and structure of the website are yours.
What do we own if we ever decide to move away from LoanSites?
You own your domain name and any content, blog posts, SEO content, images, branding, and other materials that you provide or add to the website.
If you ever decide to move to another platform, you are able to export or copy the content you own, including written page content, blog posts, SEO posts, and other client-owned materials.
With that said, the LoanSites website build itself, including the design framework, layouts, custom styling, platform configuration, licensed tools, plugins, templates, and proprietary setup, is part of the LoanSites service and is not transferred for clients to duplicate, self-host, or manage independently outside of LoanSites.
In simple terms: your content belongs to you, but the LoanSites website system and build structure remain part of the LoanSites platform.
Are we locked into a long-term contract?
No. LoanSites is designed to be flexible and practical for mortgage companies. Our website support is typically month-to-month, unless otherwise stated in your specific agreement.
Do we own the domain name?
Yes. We strongly recommend that clients own and control their own domain name.
If we assist with DNS or domain setup, we can help configure everything properly, but the domain itself should remain under the client’s ownership.
Can we keep our existing domain name?
Yes. We can build the new website on a development link first and then launch it on your existing domain when everything is approved.
Website Design & Page Customization
Is the website fully custom or template-based?
LoanSites websites are custom-built for mortgage professionals using our proven WordPress framework, mortgage website tools, pre-built page structures, themes, plugins, and design systems.
This allows us to build professional, lead-focused mortgage websites efficiently while still customizing the website around your brand, colors, logo, content, services, loan programs, markets, team, and business goals.
Because we specialize in the mortgage industry, some pages, layouts, tools, plugins, and content structures may overlap across websites. This is intentional because we use proven mortgage website elements that are designed to work well for loan officers, mortgage brokers, and mortgage companies.
With that said, your website can be fully customized to your brand and be unique to your company. The goal is to give you the benefits of a custom mortgage website without requiring the cost, timeline, or complexity of building every single element from scratch.
Can the website match our existing branding?
Yes. We can use your existing logo, brand colors, fonts, photography, messaging, and design direction.
If you do not have a complete brand style, we can also help guide the visual direction.
Can you redesign our existing website instead of starting from scratch?
Yes. In many cases, we can either rebuild the existing website in a cleaner, faster, more SEO-friendly way or create a completely new design while preserving important content and SEO value.
How customizable are city pages, loan program pages, and individual loan officer pages for SEO purposes?
They are highly customizable.
City pages can include unique local content, service area details, mortgage program information, calls to action, FAQs, internal links, maps, reviews, and SEO metadata.
Loan program pages can be customized by product type, borrower need, eligibility details, benefits, FAQs, and conversion goals.
Loan officer pages can include bios, photos, contact information, application links, NMLS details, licensing information, reviews, service areas, specialties, and unique SEO content.
We recommend making these pages as unique and useful as possible so they have a better chance of performing well in search results.
Can each loan officer have their own page?
Yes. Individual loan officer pages can include their bio, photo, contact information, license information, application links, reviews, service areas, loan specialties, and SEO-focused content.
Can branch locations have their own pages?
Yes. Branch or location pages can be created and optimized for local SEO, including city-specific content, address information, team members, maps, reviews, and local calls to action.
Are there any limitations on the number of pages we can create?
There is no strict limit on the number of pages your website can have.
You can add loan program pages, branch pages, loan officer pages, blog posts, landing pages, resource pages, recruiting pages, and other content as your business grows.
For SEO purposes, we recommend creating pages strategically so each page has a clear purpose, unique content, and a strong structure rather than simply adding large numbers of thin or duplicate pages.
Can certain pages be hidden from navigation/search engines while still remaining accessible via direct link?
Yes. Pages can be published without being added to the main navigation, which allows them to remain accessible by direct link.
If you do not want a page indexed by search engines, we can also set the page to noindex when appropriate. This is useful for private landing pages, ad campaign pages, partner pages, internal-use pages, or pages that are not intended to appear in Google search results.
Can we add landing pages for specific campaigns?
Yes. You can create dedicated landing pages for paid ads, email campaigns, referral partners, recruiting, loan programs, or specific calls to action.
Can we launch in phases?
Yes. We recommend building out your website first, and then adding Advanced SEO, CRM, and/or Ai Chat after the site is live on your domain name.
SEO, Content & Blogging
Is the website built with SEO in mind from the beginning?
Yes. LoanSites websites are built with an SEO-friendly foundation, including clean WordPress structure, mobile responsiveness, SEO-friendly pages, customizable URLs, headings, metadata capabilities, and strong content organization.
With that said, there is a difference between having an SEO-friendly website and running an activate SEO campaign.
For clients who want more aggressive organic growth, keyword research, blog content, city pages, local SEO strategy, backlink acquisition, press releases, local citations, and ongoing optimization, we recommend our Advanced SEO package, which is $895/month on top of the website package.
Can we customize title tags, meta descriptions, and URLs?
Yes. These can be customized for key pages, blog posts, city pages, loan program pages, landing pages, and other important website content.
Do you support blog functionality and long-form content creation?
Yes. Blog functionality is supported on LoanSites websites, and the website can be used for long-form educational content, SEO content, borrower resources, and mortgage updates.
If you want your team to write and publish your own blog content, the website can support that.
If you want LoanSites to handle ongoing SEO-focused content creation, keyword research, and blog posting for you, we recommend our Advanced SEO package, which is $895/month on top of the website package.
Can you help us create SEO content?
Yes. LoanSites can help create mortgage-focused SEO content, including city pages, loan program pages, blog posts, FAQs, resource pages, and long-form educational content.
Ongoing SEO content creation is typically handled through our Advanced SEO package, which is $895/month on top of the website package. This package is designed for mortgage professionals who want to improve search visibility, attract more visitors, and build long-term organic traffic.
Can you migrate existing blog posts or website content?
Yes. Existing content can usually be migrated into the new website.
We can also improve formatting, internal linking, and SEO structure during the migration.
Can you set up redirects from our old website pages?
Yes. Redirects can be set up from old URLs to the appropriate new pages to help preserve SEO value and prevent broken links after launch.
Do you support schema markup?
Yes. We can add or support schema markup where appropriate, including organization, local business, FAQ, article, review, and loan-related structured data.
Can we target multiple cities or states for SEO?
Yes. We can create SEO-focused city pages, state pages, loan program pages, and local landing pages depending on your licensing, service areas, and SEO strategy.
Can you help us avoid duplicate content issues?
Yes. We can structure pages so they are more useful, specific, and unique rather than simply duplicating the same generic mortgage content across multiple pages.
Can you do keyword research for our mortgage market?
Yes. We’ll do custom keyword research through our Advanced SEO package. This helps identify relevant mortgage keywords, local search opportunities, loan program topics, borrower questions, and content ideas that can support long-term organic growth.
Forms, Leads, CRM & Tracking
If a borrower completes an inquiry form online, can the lead be automatically pushed into our CRM?
Yes, in many cases. Lead forms can often be connected to CRMs through email routing, Zapier, webhooks, API integrations, or native third-party tools.
The exact setup depends on the CRM you use and what type of integrations it supports. If your CRM provides webhook support, Zapier support, an API, or an email parsing option, we can usually find a practical way to send lead data into the system.
LoanSites also offers its own LoanSites CRM for $97/month for clients who want a mortgage-focused CRM option that works alongside their website.
What types of forms can be added to the website?
We’ll build out most lead forms for you, but we can essentially add any form customization that you’d like. This could include purchase inquiry forms, refinance inquiry forms, pre-approval requests, contact forms, consultation requests, loan officer contact forms, recruiting forms, and custom lead capture forms.
Can forms send notifications to different team members?
Yes. Form notifications can usually be routed based on the page, loan officer, branch, form type, or other submitted information.
Can form submissions be sent to multiple places?
Yes. A form can send email notifications, store entries in the website backend, trigger webhooks, connect to Zapier, or push data into compatible CRMs and marketing systems.
Can borrowers upload documents through the website?
We do not recommend your borrowers upload documents through your website due to compliance complications.
For sensitive borrower documentation, we recommend using secure systems and making sure the process aligns with your compliance requirements.
Can we integrate with our LOS or CRM?
In essentially every case, yes. Integration options do depend on whether your CRM or LOS provides API access, webhook support, Zapier support, embed codes, or third-party integration options.
Can leads be tagged or categorized by source?
Yes. Lead forms can often include hidden fields, tracking parameters, page source data, or campaign information to help identify where the lead came from.
Can we track conversions from website forms?
Yes. Through our Advance SEO add-on, we will support conversion tracking through Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Google Ads, call tracking platforms, and other tracking tools.
If you are not subscribed to our Advanced SEO add-on and want to add your own tracking, just send us your tracking pixel and we’ll add it to the site.
Can LoanSites help us improve lead follow-up after someone submits a form?
Yes. The website can support better lead capture, notifications, tracking, and CRM handoff. For clients who want a LoanSites-managed lead follow-up system, the LoanSites CRM is available for $97/month.
Third-Party Tools, AI & API Integrations
Are we able to install or integrate third-party tools such as chat widgets and ChatGPT/OpenAI integrations?
Yes. Most third-party tools can be integrated as long as they provide a WordPress plugin, embed code, script, API, iframe, webhook, or similar integration method.
This can include chat widgets, AI tools, ChatGPT/OpenAI-powered tools, lead capture tools, call tracking, analytics platforms, CRMs, marketing tools, and more.
LoanSites also offers its own LoanSites Ai Chat add-on for $125/month on top of the website package. This is a good option for mortgage professionals who want an AI chat experience directly on their LoanSites website.
Is there any limitation on API integrations or custom development work?
There is no blanket limitation, but API integrations and custom development depend on the specific tool, documentation, authentication requirements, data flow, security considerations, and project scope.
Simple integrations are often straightforward. More complex integrations may require custom development, testing, and a separate quote depending on the amount of work involved.
Before committing to a custom integration, we would review the technical requirements and confirm what is possible, what is recommended, and whether there are any limitations from the third-party provider.
Can we add live chat to the website?
Yes. Most third-party chat widgets can be added using scripts, plugins, embeds, or Google Tag Manager.
LoanSites also offers LoanSites Ai Chat for $125/month on top of the website package if you want a built-in AI chat option for your mortgage website.
Can we add AI chat or OpenAI tools?
Yes. AI chat can be added to your LoanSites website.
We offer LoanSites Ai Chat for $125/month on top of the website package. This can help answer common visitor questions, guide users toward the right next step, and improve lead conversion on your website.
If you want to use a different AI tool, we can usually integrate it as long as the provider supports website installation through a script, plugin, embed, API, or webhook.

Yes. We can add application buttons, embedded forms, iframe tools, or external links depending on how your application system is designed.

Can we add Facebook/Meta Pixel, Google Ads tracking, or LinkedIn Insight Tag?
Yes. These tracking tools can be added directly or through Google Tag Manager.
Are we able to add custom scripts, tracking pixels, schema markup, and Zapier/webhook integrations?
Yes. We can support custom scripts, tracking pixels, schema markup, Zapier connections, webhooks, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Ads tracking, LinkedIn Insight Tag, call tracking scripts, and other similar tools.
Basic script placement and standard tracking setup can often be handled as part of website support.
More advanced integrations, custom API work, complex automation, or deeper CRM workflows may require additional setup, custom development, or one of our add-on packages depending on the scope.
Reviews, Social Proof & Trust
Do your websites support displaying Google Reviews on the homepage, such as scrolling/carousel reviews?
Yes. Google Reviews can be displayed on the homepage or other pages using review widgets, WordPress plugins, or third-party review tools.
These can often be shown as a carousel, slider, grid, or scrolling review section depending on the design style you want and the tool being used.
Can we add testimonials manually?

Yes. We can add your provided compliance language to the footer, disclosure pages, loan officer pages, state pages, landing pages, or other required areas.
Do you review content for legal compliance?
We can help format and place compliance language, but final compliance approval should come from your internal compliance team, legal counsel, broker, lender, or licensing/compliance representative.
Can certain pages include special disclaimers?
Yes. Specific pages can include unique disclaimers, licensing language, rate disclaimers, calculator disclaimers, product-specific compliance language, or state-specific notices.
Hosting, Speed, Security & Maintenance
Is hosting included?
Yes. Hosting is included as part of the LoanSites website service.
How are hosting, website speed, and Core Web Vitals handled?
Hosting is included as part of our website service, and we manage the technical environment for performance, reliability, and security.
We build with website speed and Core Web Vitals in mind, including clean page structure, image optimization, caching, mobile responsiveness, and performance-conscious design.
Website speed can also be affected by third-party scripts, tracking pixels, chat widgets, embedded tools, large images, videos, and external plugins. We help balance functionality with performance so the site remains as fast and user-friendly as possible.
For clients running SEO campaigns, website performance is also an important part of the overall strategy, which is one reason many clients pair the website package with our Advanced SEO package.
Are website backups included?
Yes. We maintain backup processes as part of the website hosting and management environment.
Are plugin and WordPress updates handled for us?
Yes. LoanSites manages WordPress, plugin, and website maintenance so clients do not have to handle the technical side themselves.
Is the website secure?
Yes. We use SSL, secured VPS hosting, Wordfence-based firewall, hosting-based firewall, security best practices, and monitoring tools to help keep websites secure.
What happens if the website goes down?
If there is a website issue, our team can investigate and work to resolve it.
Most issues are related to hosting, DNS, plugin conflicts, third-party scripts, or external services, and we help troubleshoot accordingly.
Can you help with DNS changes?
Yes. We can help point the domain, update DNS records, configure launch settings, and coordinate with your domain provider when needed.
Support, Launch & Long-Term Growth
What is included in ongoing website support?
Ongoing website support typically includes website updates, content edits, page edits, image swaps, form updates, plugin maintenance, technical support, troubleshooting, and general website assistance.
This is included in the base website package, which is $650 upfront and $195/month.
For services beyond regular website support, such as ongoing SEO content, advanced search optimization, AI chat, CRM tools, or ongoing marketing graphics, LoanSites offers add-on packages.
How do we request website changes?
Clients can send requests to the LoanSites team through our support form located here: http://support.loansites.com/
We review the request and complete it based on scope, complexity, and priority.
How fast do support requests get completed?
Simple website updates are typically completed within 1-48 hours, depending on the request queue and the complexity of the update.
Examples of simple updates include text changes, image swaps, button/link updates, adding disclosures, updating contact information, or making small page edits.
Larger requests, such as building new pages, setting up integrations, creating custom functionality, troubleshooting complex issues, or making design changes, may require more time. We can usually give a better estimate once we review the specific request.
Our goal is to provide reliable ongoing support so your team does not have to manage the technical side of the website alone.
Are updates unlimited?
Yes. LoanSites includes unlimited website support and customization with the base website package.
This includes routine website updates, content edits, page changes, image swaps, form updates, and general website support.
With that said, separate services such as Advanced SEO, LoanSites Ai Chat, LoanSites CRM, Unlimited Graphic Design, major custom development, complex integrations, or full rebuilds may require an add-on package or separate quote depending on the request.
Can you help us add new pages after launch?
Yes. New pages can be added after launch, including loan program pages, blog posts, landing pages, team pages, recruiting pages, and resource pages.
How long does a new website usually take to launch?
We typically build the initial development website within 10 business days. Once the development site is ready, we present it to the client for review, make any requested edits on the dev site, and then take the website live once we have the client’s approval.
Most websites go live within about one month of signup, depending on how quickly feedback, content, domain access, and approvals are provided.
With that said, websites can often go live much faster when needed. In some cases, we can launch within one week or sooner, depending on the scope of the website and how quickly everything is approved.
Do we get to review the website before it goes live?
Yes. The website is built on a development link first, so your team can review it and request changes before it is launched on your live domain.
What do you need from us to get started?
Typical items include your logo, brand colors, team information, licensing details, application links, and any content or examples you want us to reference.
What makes LoanSites different from a general website designer?

Instead of simply building a nice-looking website, we build mortgage websites designed to support credibility, lead generation, SEO, conversion, and long-term growth.
We also offer add-on services that help mortgage companies grow beyond the website itself, including:
- Advanced SEO: $895/month
- LoanSites Ai Chat: $125/month
- LoanSites CRM: $97/month
- Unlimited Graphic Design: $550/month
This allows clients to start with a strong mortgage website and then add the marketing tools and support they need as they grow.
Advanced SEO
What is the LoanSites Advanced SEO package?
The LoanSites Advanced SEO package is an add-on service designed to help mortgage professionals improve their search engine visibility, attract more website visitors, and generate more organic mortgage leads over time.
Instead of simply building a great-looking website and hoping people find it, Advanced SEO focuses on getting your website in front of borrowers who are actively searching for mortgage-related services, loan programs, and local mortgage help.
How much does Advanced SEO cost?
The LoanSites Advanced SEO package is $895/month on top of the website package.
Advanced SEO is an add-on service for clients who want ongoing search engine optimization, keyword strategy, content creation, backlink support, reporting, and long-term organic growth.
Do we need to have a LoanSites website to use Advanced SEO?
Yes. The Advanced SEO package is designed to work with the LoanSites website service.
This allows our team to properly manage the website structure, content, optimization, technical SEO, blog posting, tracking, and ongoing updates needed to support the SEO campaign.
What is included in the Advanced SEO package?
The Advanced SEO package includes a full mortgage SEO strategy designed to improve your online visibility and help your website rank for more relevant search terms.
This can include custom keyword research, ongoing blog content, monthly press releases, mini-authority websites, citations, backlink support, Google Business Profile posts, on-page optimization, technical SEO checkups, competitor tracking, conversion tracking, and monthly reporting.
Does Advanced SEO include keyword research?
Yes. We build a custom keyword research strategy based on your market, services, loan programs, target areas, and business goals.
This helps us identify the local, national, and long-tail keywords your potential borrowers may be searching for so we can build content and optimization around the right opportunities.
Does Advanced SEO include blog posts?
Yes. The Advanced SEO package includes at least 2 fully custom blog posts per week.
These blog posts are created to help your website rank for more mortgage-related keywords, educate potential borrowers, build authority, and increase the amount of helpful content on your website.
Does Advanced SEO include local SEO?
Yes. Local SEO is a major part of the Advanced SEO strategy.
We can target city-specific, market-specific, and service-area keywords to help your website show up for borrowers searching for mortgage help in the areas you serve.
Does Advanced SEO include Google Business Profile support?
Yes. Advanced SEO can include weekly Google Business Profile posts to help keep your Google profile active and support your local SEO presence.
A well-maintained Google Business Profile can help strengthen your visibility, credibility, and local search presence.
Does Advanced SEO include backlinks?
Yes. Advanced SEO includes backlink support as part of the overall strategy.
This may include backlink exchange opportunities, supporting outbound links, press release distribution, citations, and other authority-building efforts designed to help strengthen your website’s online presence.
What are citations, and why do they matter for mortgage SEO?
Citations are online business listings on trusted directories and websites.
They help search engines verify that your business is legitimate, active, and connected to the locations and services you want to rank for. Citations can be especially helpful for local SEO.
What are mini-authority websites?
Mini-authority websites are supporting websites created to help strengthen your broader online presence and link back to your main website.
The goal is to help build credibility, support rankings, and create additional authority signals around your brand and mortgage services.
Does Advanced SEO include on-page optimization?
Yes. Advanced SEO includes ongoing on-page optimization, which may include updates to page titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, page structure, and other website elements that help search engines better understand your content.
Does Advanced SEO include technical SEO?
Yes. Advanced SEO includes technical SEO checkups to help identify and resolve issues that may affect your website’s performance, indexing, or search visibility.
This may include checking for broken links, website speed issues, crawlability concerns, and other technical factors that can impact SEO.
Does Advanced SEO include competitor tracking?
Yes. Competitor tracking is included so we can monitor how your website is performing compared to other mortgage companies in your market.
This helps us adjust the SEO strategy over time and identify new opportunities to improve your visibility.
Does Advanced SEO include conversion tracking?
Yes. Advanced SEO includes conversion tracking so we can better understand how SEO traffic turns into real leads, such as calls, form submissions, and other important actions on the website.
The goal is not just to increase traffic, but to help bring in more relevant visitors who may become actual mortgage leads.
How do we know if Advanced SEO is working?
Each month, we provide reporting that shows what has been completed, how your rankings are progressing, how traffic is changing, and what we are working on next.
SEO is a long-term strategy, but you should be able to see progress through keyword rankings, website traffic, indexed content, lead activity, and overall visibility.
How quickly will our website rank on Google with Advanced SEO?
Every market is different, so exact timelines can vary based on competition, location, website history, content opportunities, and the keywords being targeted.
With that said, Advanced SEO is designed to help your website gain rankings faster by using a focused mortgage SEO strategy, consistent content, keyword research, backlinks, technical optimization, and monthly tracking.
Does Advanced SEO guarantee first-page rankings?
No reputable SEO service can honestly guarantee specific first-page rankings because Google’s algorithm, competition, market conditions, and search behavior can change.
What we can do is build and execute a strong mortgage SEO strategy designed to improve your visibility, increase keyword rankings, grow organic traffic, and help generate more leads over time.
Can Advanced SEO help reduce our dependence on paid ads?
Yes. One of the long-term goals of Advanced SEO is to help your website attract more organic traffic so you are not relying only on paid advertising for visibility and lead generation.
Paid ads can work well, but SEO can help build a longer-term foundation for consistent website traffic and inbound mortgage leads.
Can we stop Advanced SEO and keep our website?
Yes. Advanced SEO is an add-on package. If you stop the SEO service but keep your website package active, your website can remain live and supported through LoanSites.
The SEO work already completed does not simply disappear, but ongoing SEO activity, new blog posts, reporting, optimization, and campaign work would stop unless the Advanced SEO package remains active.
